Coal is not a hydrocarbon - contains more than hydrogen and carbon. They are also in different states of matter when in room temperature. Crude oil is made from decayed plants and animals where coal is solely made from decayed plants.

To move oil from oilfield to the refinery 
i) By pipeline - When oil is reasonably close to the refinery
